Era builds the intelligence layer for physical devices. The platform that lets anyone — a jeweler, a musician, a car designer, a fitness brand, a hungry kid with an idea — shape how an object listens, thinks, speaks, acts, and remembers. We started here because we kept asking the same question as everyone else: why do the most intelligent things in my life feel the least like my own, and work the least like I want them to?
Why we're here
We love digicams and flip phones, Sony Walkmans and Tamagotchis, Labubus hanging off bags. We love the talismans made with a point of view — tactile, adorned, specific. Somewhere along the way, technology forgot how to do that.
Era exists to answer this fundamental question: who is computing actually for, and who gets to shape it? We're handing that back to the people who understand physical objects most intimately — the furniture designer, the jeweler, the entertainer, the fashion house, the car brand. The ones who know how something looks and feels is as important as what it does.
The future of computing won't feel like a compromise. What your devices do, how they think, and how they serve you, are yours to shape.

PRIMAVERA, our debut collection, was co-created with 30 artists and designers using our platform. Collection debuts on April 15th in New York City.
We come from Apple, Humane, io, HPE, Harvard, Princeton, and the Australian outback. We are researchers, designers, engineers, tinkerers, and yappers who fell in love with technology as 2000s kids. But what holds us together is a shared belief that the future can feel so much more expansive than the present.
