Storytelling

NYC, SF, or Remote · Part-time / Contract

Every computing era has a dominant interface. PCs made computing personal, smartphones made it mobile, and AI agents will make it ambient. Era is building the intelligence layer underneath it all, and we need someone to make the world care.

The Role

Era has all the raw material for an incredible brand story: founders from the fundamental AI wearable companies in the valley. An incredible team. Over $10M+ in funding. A signed partnership for our first Era-powered product. 20+ designers and artists creating device enclosures. A vision for ambient AI that's genuinely beautiful and open. Era is a new type of company that operates as a storytelling lab, while also showing a different future of how technology is built, used, and expressed.

What Era doesn't have is someone whose full-time job is to tell that story — to the press, to potential partners, to the design and tech communities, to consumers, and to the talent we want to recruit. You're that person.

What You'll Do

  • Own Era's brand narrative across every channel - website, social, press, partner materials, investor updates, recruiting collateral
  • Tell the story of each new Era-powered partner product as it goes to market
  • Cultivate and grow Era's designer/artist community. 20+ creatives are already making Era device enclosures, and this needs to become a movement
  • Manage relationships with press, influencers, and tastemakers in the tech, design, and fashion worlds
  • Work with partners on co-marketing storytelling
  • Create the recruiting brand. Era's JDs, careers presence, and employer story should attract world-class talent
  • Own social presence and community building

What We're Looking For

  • You're a storyteller first. You can take a complex technical vision and make it visceral, emotional, and shareable
  • Experience building a brand from scratch or very early stage
  • Track record of building narrative momentum - product stories, brand campaigns, cultural moments
  • Strong visual and editorial taste. Era sits at the intersection of tech, design, and fashion
  • Community building experience
  • Comfort with both strategic brand thinking and tactical execution. At seed stage, you're the CMO and the intern
  • You write well. Really well. And fast
  • You are experimental and open to new ways of storytelling

Nice to Have

  • Network in design, fashion, tech media, or the creator/influencer space
  • Experience marketing at the intersection of hardware and software
  • Background in luxury, fashion, or lifestyle brand marketing
  • Video production, content creation, or creative direction skills
